Started out fishing for crappie and started catching then got surrounded by rude people tangling my line by casting over me and said I didnt own the lake ! Did they ruin the trip ? No , I took a deep breath and unclenched my fist and started to fish the main lake and landed 2, nice 3lb. channel cats !

My step son and I pulled into the first parking lot about 10 am. We were about 200 yards off shore in about 12 to14 feet of water. I used a white wolly jig tipped with perch meat and only caught 1 12 inch splake on that. I also had a small light green ice jig tipped with night crawler on the same pole and caught 1 more 12 inch splak and 6 12 to 15 inch rainbow. my son only caught 1 12 inch rainbow on plain night crawler. Caught about 29 perch but all to small for the frying pan.

Technology has helped anglers tremendously over the years. Weather it be fish finders, underwater cameras or the tech that goes into creating top notch rod and reels. But more recently, there have been a lot of fishing apps coming out that are extremely powerful tools for all anglers. There are apps that provide solunar tables, bass fishing forecasts, help identify fish and teach you how to tie knots. The team at US Fish Finder has also created our own fishing log app to help anglers keep track of their trips and catches in a simple to use interface. The Fish Nuggets App automatically captures location and weather for your catch while you just need to enter the species. The app is currently available as a beta release so make sure to check it out.
