Another trip with my friend Josh... We got to the reservoir at 10am and tried to find a good spot on shore. We set up at an old boat launch right next to the public beach off of Rt. 135. We didn't have high hopes considering there were dogs swimming EVERYWHERE, but it turned out to be a great trip. After 30 minutes, using a SPRO Little John Blood Craw crankbait, a 13 inch pickerel hit the lure right near the shore. Hoping to find a largemouth, we continued casting in the area, and after 10 minutes, another hit! A 10 inch largemouth bass! We continued to fish for another hour and a half, and got nothing else, but we had a great time on the beautiful State Park.

Got to the pond at around 9:15am with my buddy Josh; 60 degrees with a cloud cover and some light rain at times. Fished from shore right by the public parking for about an hour and had no luck. Very shallow water with an even, sandy bottom. We ended up driving over to the other side of the pond and parking at the end of a side street (I think it was called Gould St.) and fishing off shore again. Casted off right past a small sandbar, and got a bass instantly on a frog crankbait by Rebel. 12 inch, healthy largemouth. It started raining heavily shortly after the first catch, so we called it a day, happy with the nice bass on the first cast.
